Overview:
The B-Hive is an in-house creative agency bringing to life the creative needs of some of the most recognisable brands in the beauty industry including No7, Soap & Glory, Liz Earle and Boots own brand. We combine the capability of an external creative and production team, with the speed, flexibility, and in-depth brand knowledge of an in-house set-up, underpinned by years of experience dedicated to Boots and No7 Beauty Company.
We're looking for a Copywriter to join the Nottingham B-Hive team, reporting into a Midweight Copywriter. Our ideal candidate will have a flair for language, a deep understanding of brand voice, and the ability to help create compelling copy to run across multiple platforms. This position requires someone who is imaginative, with the skills to translate marketing objectives into a wide range of copy elements.
Key responsibilities:
• Create a wide range of beauty, health, pharmacy and wellness copy in Boots’ style and tone of voice, which works with and supports UX and SEO principles
• Produce customer-friendly copy for a range of assets including emails, direct mails, web pages, editorial, video scripts, social and campaign language for digital and print
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to deliver on brief
• Quality check and edit copy that’s produced by the team
What you’ll need to have:
• Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or a related field or equivalent experience
• Proven experience as a copywriter in an advertising, editorial or marketing setting (agency or in-house) with a portfolio of work
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
• An understanding of UX and SEO and their application to marketing copy
• Attention to detail, excellent organisation and communication skills, plus flexibility
• Ability to work to a brief, multi-task and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to change writing style to suit different audiences and platforms
• A desire to work within a team, giving and receiving constructive feedback and direction
It would be great if you also have:
• A keen interest in retail, specifically the beauty and health industry
• An understanding of how CMS platforms work (such as Adobe Experience Manager)
• Experience working in an agency or brand that requires juggling multiple briefs and clients
• An outside-of-work creative hobby or venture
