As a Packaging Technologist in the No7 Beauty Company you will work in a busy and fast moving cross-functional team based in Nottingham. You will use your technical knowledge, creativity and great organisational skills to deliver new and innovative packaging solutions for our award-winning brands.

About the role
This role reports into the Packaging Manager for the brand and is based in the Product Development Department. You will join our community of approximately 20 Packaging experts, and be part of our strong and supportive team.
The key responsibilities for the role are:
• Delivery of the packaging and artwork activities for our key brands – No7, Soap&Glory, Liz Earle & Botanics
• Management of packaging design to optimise cost, quality and technical feasibility, whilst ensuring our packaging looks fabulous
• Conducts technical testing to ensure the packaging is robust and will survive manufacture, distribution and consumer use
• Develops to ensure sustainability is at the heart of our brands’ packaging
• Conducts all necessary due diligence in identification and management of packaging technical risks
• Works with exceptional levels of organisation and can prioritise multiple projects and activities
• Communicates in a clear and effective way
• Creates all key manufacturing and specification documentation with high levels of accuracy
What you’ll need to have
We would ideally like the below experience, but we would also like to hear from you if you have what it takes to learn with us and be trained in the role.
We would be particularly interested if you have a background or education in Packaging Design, Product Design or Print.
• Proven track record of developing packaging from concept to market
• Excellent knowledge of key packaging technologies, manufacturing, print processes and artwork.
• Proven ability to manage risk, priorities and overall timings for complex technical projects
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Great organisation and communication skills
It would be great if you also have
• Experience tooling new pack shapes
• Experience developing packaging for FMCG companies
