About the role
Welcome to the No7 Beauty Company - we have an exciting opportunity to join our business and be part of the #1 Skin Care brand in the UK as a Panel & Consumer Evaluation Technologist, supporting the development and launch of great new products. Reporting into the Consumer Science & Panel Manager, you will be working with an experienced and dedicated team within the Product Performance & Testing Team
Our team manages well-established consumer panels in the UK and US, to gather insights into key consumer tensions, build stronger consumer connections and deliver product efficacy testing, to ensure our products deliver tangible results that our customers will love.
Key responsibilities
Support the management and maintenance of the consumer panels in the UK and US, ensuring the necessary size and diversity for both research and product testing activities are met.
Lead targeted recruitment of new panellists to support specific research activities or product development projects when required, collaborating with internal partners and external panel suppliers.
Champion the design of all panel communication and documentation, including the consumer websites, adhering to legal standards and best practice. Review and execute opportunities to enhance the experience of the consumers, working with existing partners and through new technologies.
Deliver targeted panellist recruitment to meet the KPIs specific to each study for consumer research and product testing, using expertise and knowledge to select the best approach.
Conduct the testing of new products, prototypes and technologies, utilising in-depth expertise and experience in product testing and design. Through direct ownership or third parties, generate robust data to support product performance and claims.
Generate performance & marketing claims through analysis, assessment & transformation of data to support the development and launch of great new products.
What you'll need to have
Degree in Social Science (e.g. Psychology, Sociology), Sensory Science or Cosmetic Science (or equivalent).
2+ years experience in scientific communications, claims substantiation or evidence generation in the skincare, cosmetics, or healthcare sectors.
Experience of qualitative and quantitative consumer research methods plus product testing/evaluation methodologies.
Good statistical and analytical skills.
Confident making recommendations based on outcomes.
Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex science into clear, concise narratives appropriate for diverse audiences.
Strong capability at communicating with members of the public, both verbal and written
